The Living Planet Centre is the UK home of WWF and one of the country's most environmentally considered buildings, designed from the outset to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating.

Whelan and Grant delivered extensive high-quality exposed fair-faced concrete throughout, visible both inside and out, using recycled cement and aggregates without compromise to the finish quality.

Bespoke GRP and plaster formers were used to incorporate special shapes into the soffits, adding further architectural complexity to the concrete work.

The standard of the finished project was recognised with the Overall Winner accolade at the Concrete Society Awards.
