The Dalton Building is a seven-storey, 15,000sqm traditionally reinforced concrete frame extension to Manchester Metropolitan University's Faculty of Science and Engineering.

The building's key architectural features are its multi-level open atria, where high-quality fine smooth finished concrete walls, columns and soffits deliver an exemplary standard of exposed concrete throughout.

As a city centre build, the project presented significant logistical challenges, including the design and installation of triple-height temporary works solutions required for the formation of the upper-level slabs.
