A modern, state of the art fair faced building for the University of Kent’s Business School
This project for Willmott Dixon consists of a four storey concrete frame incorporating some very high quality concrete.
Large areas of exposed soffit and beams contribute to the defining features of the internal design, creating a clean modern look. The team used its extensive experience to create bespoke shutters for the lozenge shaped columns throughout and the ‘finger beams’ in the main lecture theatre, both of which had to be of the highest quality.
This project also achieved a BREEAM rating of Excellent of which all supply chain partners had a part in delivering. The project won the RIBA Building of the Year award.
