Cambridge Science Park

Built on the outer fringes of Cambridge, the 4-storey office development provided the opportunity to showcase high quality exposed circular concrete columns and lift front walls. These key architectural features were developed with the architect to deliver a crisp, clean open plan office footprint on each floor. The main structure was constructed using in-situ traditional reinforced concrete for the columns and post-tensioned concrete for the slabs. The vast podium transfer slab was constructed after the main building, and again, was constructed with significant amounts of exposed concrete columns and slab soffits. This provided vital car parking space under the office building which was a key feature for the developer.
